Die Aufnahme soll aus dem Nachlaß von Cozy Powell stammen, der ja auch schon früher (z.B. in Rainbow Tagen) regelmäßig ein Aufnahmegerät mitlaufen ließ und somit wohl ein stattliches persönliches Archiv aufgebaut haben dürfte. CD 1 ist hier als "Cozy Mix" betitelt und enthält nur einen Teil des Konzerts. Erst ab CD 2, betitelt als "Snake Mix", sind dann wohl alle damals gespielten Stücke vertreten. Komplett ist das Ganze aber trotzdem nicht, denn sowohl der Anfang, als auch "Crying in the rain" und "Soldier of fortune" sind teils erheblich beschnitten.
Sinn und Zweck der unterschiedlichen "Mixe" sind nicht wirklich erkennbar, allerdings wirken die Instrumentalparts für meinen Geschmack im 2. Teil etwas ausgewogener. Auf CD 1 stehen anfangs vor allem Schlagzeug und Gesang im Mittelpunkt.
Wie von Mischpultmitschnitten gewohnt, sind Publikumsreaktionen nur ganz vereinzelt im Hintergrund wahrzunehmen, wodurch natürlich einiges an Atmosphäre verloren geht.
Unterm Strich stehen trotzdem eine Aufnahme mit sehr guten Klangeigenschaften und ein sehr ordentliches Konzert!
